Job summary

STILL Materials Handling Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service and maintain a range of STILL forklift and material handling equipment across customer sites in the SR/DH postcode areas. You will diagnose faults, perform repairs and preventative maintenance, and contribute to high-standards of service.

The ideal candidate has mechanical or electrical engineering experience, a valid UK driving licence, and is IT literate to manage orders and records.

Qualifications

• Experience in field service or technical maintenance of material handling equipment is essential.
• IT literate and able to use latest technology to record work and place orders.
• Must hold a full UK driving licence.
• A proactive, customer-focused approach with good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and rectify faults on STILL forklifts and related equipment at customer sites.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and routine servicing.
• Provide on-site technical support and customer training.
• Document work using devices and ensure accuracy of records.

We are currently looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our team in the SR/DH post code areas.

We are looking for vehicle technicians or mechanical engineers who have experience working as a forklift technician, plant fitter, plant technician, vehicle technician or a similar type of role. Experience within plant equipment, powered access equipment, agricultural machinery, motor vehicles or industrial cleaners may make this role perfect for you!

Working with everything from small pallet trucks, through to IC trucks, VNA trucks and automated trucks, you will be required to find, diagnose, and rectify faults, and undertake preventative maintenance on STILL forklifts and other material handling equipment at our customer sites.

Tasks and Qualifications:

Who are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, you will need experience in at least one of the following areas:

• Mechanical engineering

• Electrical engineering

• Hydraulics

• Ideally you will have an NVQ level 3 (or equivalent) qualification, although this is not essential.

• You will need to be IT literate and able to use latest technology to keep accurate records and place orders.

• You must hold a full UK driving licence.
