Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust seeks motivated individuals to join the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) Decontamination Team at Southmead Hospital. You will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, packing and sterilising medical equipment, using a computerised tracking system to monitor equipment through the process.

No previous experience is required as full training is provided; you will work flexibly across shift patterns in a fast-paced clinical environment, contributing to patient

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and accurate with high attention to detail.
• Able to work effectively in a team.
• Reliable, motivated and eager to learn.
• Physically capable of standing, bending and lifting.
• Flexible and able to work across shift patterns.

Responsibilities

• Clean and decontaminate medical equipment and surgical instruments.
• Inspect instruments with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Pack and prepare instruments for sterilisation.
• Use keyboards, touch screens and barcode scanners.
