Job summary

Circle Health Group Decontamination in Stockport is seeking a Supervisor to lead our sterile services and Endoscopy decontamination unit on a full-time basis. The role covers 37.5 hours per week with rotating day and night shifts to ensure continuous service.

You will supervise the day-to-day delivery of a first-class decontamination service to hospitals and Endoscopy units, coordinating production and guiding staff to meet customer requirements and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience in sterile services units and Endoscopy decontamination
• Knowledge of track and trace systems – electronic and manual
• Experience of undertaking internal audits
• Effective leadership and managerial skills
• Evidence of training in decontamination
• Institute of Decontamination Certificate (IDSc) or NVQ Level 3 Decontamination
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise work and meet deadlines
• Positive ‘can do’ attitude

Responsibilities

• Supervise the day-to-day delivery of a first-class decontamination service to hospitals, Endoscopy units and relevant clinical departments
• Coordinate production activity and allocate work across the shift to ensure customer requirements, turnaround times and operational priorities are achieved
• Provide effective leadership and supervision to colleagues across sterile services and Endoscopy, ensuring individuals understand their responsibilities and expected standards
• Ensure all decontamination processes are followed as directed by the Decontamination Manager, Production Managers and Quality Lead and in accordance with approved policies, procedures and the quality management system
• Identify and respond to issues involving equipment, instrumentation, endoscopes or production processes, taking appropriate immediate action to maintain safety and service continuity
• Maintain effective communication with customer hospitals, clinical departments and internal colleagues to support a responsive and reliable service
