Job summary

Circle Health Group Decontamination in Aylesford is hiring a Sterile Services Technician. This 37.5-hour-per-week role includes flexible shift patterns and a salary up to £27,805.42 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

The role involves providing sterile services to operating theatres and other departments, with duties spanning decontamination, packing, sterilisation and delivery of equipment, while maintaining health and safety standards and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Hepatitis B immunisation is required.
• Previous experience in a decontamination centre or operating theatre department.

Responsibilities

• Provide a first-class decontamination sterile service to Operating Theatres, clinical departments and relevant paramedical departments.
• Assist in decontamination, checking, assembly, packing, sterilisation and delivery of medical and surgical equipment and sundry items to/for the customer.
• Maintain good working relationships with all customers.
• Promote and maintain Health & Safety within the department.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained to safety standards and report faults to Team Leader/Manager.
• Assist Team Leaders in liaising with departments to ensure supply of items is maintained.
• Maintain Health & Safety requirements for staff and visitors.
• Comply with all relevant mandatory training.
