Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is recruiting Step-Forward Foster Carers in Denbighshire, Wales, to support children transitioning from residential care into stable, nurturing families. Qualifications

• Ages 21 or over (no upper age limit)
• Right to Work in the United Kingdom
• Ability to provide full‑time care (at least one carer at home)
• One spare bedroom dedicated to fostering
• Experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults with complex needs
• Ability to offer a solo placement (no other children under 16 in the household)
• Full driving licence and access to a suitable vehicle
• Willing to register as self-employed

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for a young person transitioning away from residential care
• Create a stable, calm, and predictable home environment
• Support emotional, behavioural and social development
• Build strong, trusting relationships over time
• Work alongside social workers, therapists and other professionals
• Help the young person stay connected to their community, education, and other support networks
