Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel is assisting Step-Forward Fostering to recruit carers who will welcome children leaving residential care into a stable, nurturing home in Conwy. You will provide care, routine and emotional support to help children settle, feel safe, and maintain connections with family and community.

The role is full-time or self-employed, offering a weekly fee of £1,000 per child plus additional payments for the child’s needs, holidays and celebrations.

Qualifications

• Patience and empathy to support children with complex needs.
• Ability to provide a stable, caring home environment.
• Experience working with children or vulnerable groups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-time care for a child or siblings transitioning from residential care.
• Offer stability, routine and reassurance to support development.
• Support emotional, behavioural, and social development with professionals.
• Maintain clear records and communicate with social workers and others.
