Job summary

Step-Forward Fostering is seeking a Foster Carer in Conwy to welcome a child or siblings into a caring home. You will provide stability, routine and support their emotional and social development, working with social workers and other professionals.

The role offers an Enhanced fee of £52,000 per annum (approx. £1,000/week), child-related allowances, and annual payments for celebrations. A meaningful, community-focused path with strong entry requirements is available.

Qualifications

• Aged 21 or over (no upper age limit)
• Right to work in the United Kingdom
• Can provide full-time care for a child or children in their home
• Have a spare bedroom dedicated to fostering
• Experience supporting children, young people, or adults, particularly with complex needs or challenging behaviours

Responsibilities

• Full-time care for a child or sibling group moving from residential care
• Offering continued stability, routine, and reassurance
• Support the child's emotional, behavioural, and social development
• Working closely with social workers, therapists and other professionals
• Keeping clear records and provide therapeutic, nurturing support
• Ensuring that the child can maintain important links to their wider family
