Job summary

Qualifications

• MSc level minimum in Biological Sciences; stem cell/cell culture focus encouraged.
• Experience isolating and culturing primary cells and recombinant cell lines for high throughput screening in industry.
• Hands-on experience with culturing and differentiating hES and iPS cells; aseptic technique essential.
• Experience on drug discovery focused projects is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and present data.

Responsibilities

• Culture and differentiate hES and iPS cells per client/project needs.
• Isolate and culture primary cells; prepare cell lines for screening.
• Troubleshoot assays using knowledge of cellular methods and practices.
• Apply stem cell culture learnings across methods and projects.
• Independently perform and optimize stem cell differentiation in 2D/3D systems.
• Execute routine technical tasks with minimal supervision; manage workload and deadlines.
• Adhere to safe lab policies; suggest improvements where possible.
• Accurately report billable time and understand financial impact of projects.
• Stay updated with sector insights; share knowledge within the group.
• Identify and propose solutions for technical problems; escalate when needed.
