Job summary

Barrett Steel is seeking an experienced Internal/External Sales Executive to join our General Steels team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. The role involves developing sales plans, negotiating with customers, and driving profitable growth across the UK market.

You will build relationships, prepare quotes, process inquiries and orders, and visit customers in the field as needed. Hybrid working may be available, with progression within Barrett Steel’s expanding footprint.

Qualifications

• Previous sales experience within a dynamic sales environment, with proven record of building accounts in the UK market.
• Experience selling steel or related products preferred.
• Strong understanding of the sales process.
• Ability to build long-lasting relationships.
• Target and KPI driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust sales plans to grow market share and margin.
• Lead negotiations with customers, via phone and in person.
• Prepare quotes and process enquiries/orders to completion.
• Visit customers in the field as required.
• Collaborate with the sales team to drive KPI targets.
