Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Metalwork & Production Operative to join a busy manufacturing facility in Wolverhampton. This ongoing position offers £13.45 per hour, with hours Monday to Thursday, 07:00-16:45.

The role involves a range of metalworking and final assembly tasks, operating AMADA Press Brake and CNC Punch, grinding, welding, powder coating, and reading production drawings. A can-do attitude and team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience with metalwork processes.
• Experience operating an AMADA Press Brake and/or Finn Power machine.
• Experience as a Press Brake Operator, CNC Punch Operator, Powder Coater or Welder.
• TIG welding experience, with some MIG welding beneficial.
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Ability to read and follow production drawings.
• A reliable and flexible approach to work.
• A positive "can-do" attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Operate AMADA Press Brake and CNC Punch machines.
• Grinding and linishing; studding; powder coating.
• TIG and MIG welding; final assembly of metalwork products.
• Work from production drawings and maintain quality and output.
• Support other areas of production as required.
• Be part of a small, close-knit production team.
