Job summary

ASC Connections Ltd is recruiting a Decoiler / Steel Operative for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area. You will operate a decoiler, cut-to-length line, overhead cranes and assist with loading and unloading steel on the lines.

Shifts rotate weekly between 6:00am-2:00pm and 2:00pm-10:00pm, with mornings and afternoons. The role is temp to perm with pay of £14.00+ per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a decoiler is required.
• No Overhead Crane licence is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Operate a decoiler / cut-to-length line.
• Operate overhead cranes to handle steel.
• Drive counterbalance FLTs.
• Assist with loading / offloading steel on machine lines.
• Band, pack and palletise stock.

Job description

A Decoiler / Steel Operative is required for a steel processing company based in the Dudley area of the West Midlands.

It's a great opportunity to join a well-established steel company during a period of significant growth, working on a temp to perm basis. The company has multiple sites in the local area, and you will be working out of the Dudley site. You will be operating the decoiler, cutting steel to size, as well as operating overhead cranes, driving counterbalance FLTs, and more.

Duties include:

• Operating a decoiler / cut-to-length line
• Operating overhead cranes to handle steel
• Driving counterbalance FLTs
• Assisting with loading / offloading steel on machine lines
• Banding, packing and palletising stock

You won't need an Overhead Crane licence, but experience of operating a decoiler is required.

This position is working mornings and afternoons, rotating weekly;

Working: 6:00am - 2:00pm / 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Paying £14.00+ per hour
