Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting an experience Order Picker to join our client's busy manufacturing environment in the Bilston area of Wolverhampton. This is a long-term position with the possibility of permanent placement after a successful trial period.

You will pick orders, operate an overhead crane and a counterbalance FLT, move materials around the site and help ensure timely production. Working hours are rotating shifts, Monday to Friday, with Early and Late shifts.

Qualifications

• A valid overhead crane licence.
• A valid counterbalance FLT licence.
• Hands-on experience operating both crane and FLT.
• Experience handling materials in manufacturing setting.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Order picking steel bars and tubes.
• Operating an overhead crane to safely lift and move materials.
• Using a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) to transport materials around the site.
• Moving materials to and from machinery, storage areas and dispatch.
• Ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations to support production.
• Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient working environment.

The Best Connection is currently recruiting an experienced Order Picker to join our client's busy manufacturing environment in the Bilston area of Wolverhampton.

This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and experienced candidate looking for a long-term position, with the possibility of a permanent placement with the company following a successful trial period.

Pay Rate

£13.99 per hour

Working Hours

Weekly rotating shifts working Monday to Friday.

• Early Shift: 06:00am - 13:30pm
• Late Shift: 13:30pm - 21:00pm

The Role

Working within a busy manufacturing environment, your duties will include:

• Order picking steel bars and tubes.
• Operating an overhead crane to safely lift and move materials.
• Using a counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) to transport materials around the site.
• Moving materials to and from machinery, storage areas and dispatch.
• Ensuring materials are delivered to the correct locations to support production.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

• A valid overhead crane licence.
• A valid counterbalance FLT licence.
• Hands-on experience operating both the overhead crane and counterbalance FLT in a working environment.
• Previous experience handling and moving materials, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
• A strong awareness of health and safety.
• A reliable, hardworking and flexible approach.
