Job summary

Oliver Rae Ltd. in Cradley Heath is seeking a multi-skilled Steel Worker to join a stable, growing business that genuinely looks after its employees. The role involves operating saws, forklift trucks, overhead cranes, and other duties as part of a cross-trained team.

You will be engaged in varied tasks daily, from loading/unloading, banding and packing, to ensuring accurate paperwork and smooth goods in/out processes.

• Previous steel industry experience essential.
• Physically fit with ability to lift heavy items.

Responsibilities

• Operate saw machinery and overhead cranes.
• Pick, pack and prepare materials for dispatch.
• Band and wrap stock; organize storage.
• Load and unload machinery safely.
• Complete essential paperwork accurately.

Job Title: Steel Worker

Location: Cradley Heath

Pay Rates: £13.50 to start and then it will increase after 12 weeks

Shift Patterns: Rotating 05:30 - 14:00 & 13:30 - 22:00

We're on the lookout for a multi-skilled Steel Worker to join a stable, growing business that genuinely looks after its employees. If you have experience operating saws, forklift trucks, or overhead cranes, we'd love to hear from you.

This isn't a repetitive role where you'll be stuck doing the same task every day. The company is committed to cross-training its workforce, giving you the opportunity to learn different areas of the operation and develop a broad range of skills.

As part of the team, you could find yourself operating saw machinery, driving a forklift truck, shot blasting steel products, operating overhead cranes, or loading HGVs ready for dispatch. What We're Looking For

• Proven overhead crane operating experience
