Job summary

Core Group is seeking a Steel Fixer to join a project in Gloucester. You will read engineering drawings, measure and bend reinforcing steel, and secure reinforcement for concrete pours on site.

The role runs 07:00–17:00 on-site with an ASAP start for several months. CSCS is required, along with prior Steel Fixer experience and a strong emphasis on site safety and precision.

Qualifications

• Requires CSCS certification and prior Steel Fixer experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to site safety.

Responsibilities

• Read and work from engineering drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Measure, cut and bend reinforcing steel accurately.
• Position and secure reinforcement to the correct spacing and cover.
• Tie reinforcing bars securely using wire.
• Ensure reinforcement is installed correctly and ready for concrete pours.
• Maintain high standards of health & safety and workmanship on site.

Location: Gloucester

Position: Steel Fixer

Hours: 07:00 - 17:00

Start: ASAP

Duration: Several months of work available

• Read and work from engineering drawings and bar bending schedules


• Measure, cut and bend reinforcing steel accurately


• Position and secure reinforcement to the correct spacing and cover


• Tie reinforcing bars securely using wire


• Ensure all reinforcement is installed correctly and ready for concrete pours


• Maintain high standards of health & safety and workmanship on site

Requirements
