Job summary

UK Labour Supply Ltd is recruiting three experienced Steel Fixers for a major HS2 infrastructure project in Birmingham. Immediate start, you will join a skilled team fixing and tying reinforcement to specification, reading bar bending schedules and drawings, and coordinating with the wider site team to keep works progressing on programme.

Working on major infrastructure works, you will read RC drawings, follow specifications, and maintain safety and efficiency on a 10-hour day.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required for steel fixing works.
• Proven steel fixing experience on major infrastructure/civils projects.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Cut, bend and fix steel reinforcement per drawings and bar bending schedules.
• Read RC drawings and specifications and implement fixes accordingly.
• Work safely and efficiently within a team to keep works on programme.
• Liaise with site management and other trades to progress works.
• Maintain a clean, safe and tidy work area on site.

Steel Fixer x3 - HS2, Birmingham

We are currently recruiting for 3x experienced Steel Fixers to join a major infrastructure project on HS2 in Birmingham. This is an immediate start working 10 hour days at a rate of £24 per hour.

The Role

Working as part of an experienced steel fixing team on one of the UK's largest infrastructure projects, you will be responsible for fixing and tying reinforcement to specification, reading and interpreting bar bending schedules and drawings, and working closely with the wider site team to keep works progressing to programme.

Duties

• Cutting, bending and fixing steel reinforcement in line with drawings and bar bending schedules
• Working from RC drawings and specifications
• Working safely and efficiently as part of a team
• Liaising with site management and other trades
• Maintaining a clean, safe and tidy work area

Requirements

• Valid CSCS card - Steel Fixing
• Proven steel fixing experience, ideally on major infrastructure/civils projects
• Fit to work medical
• Right to work in the UK

Hours: 10 hour days

Rate: £24.00 per hour
