Job summary

Recruitment Helpline Ltd is assisting an established company in Crediton, Devon, with an exciting opening for an experienced Steel Erector/Cladder. The role covers erecting steel-framed buildings and applying cladding on agricultural and industrial projects.

The successful candidate will have proven experience in steel erection and/or cladding, a driving licence, and a willingness to travel across the South West. Desirable qualifications include CSCS, IPAF, SMSTS or First Aid.

Qualifications

• Must have proven experience in steel erection and/or cladding.
• Self-motivated, reliable and proactive.
• Team player with ability to work effectively with others.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety, manual handling and working at height.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Erect steel-framed buildings.
• Install composite, single-skin and built-up cladding systems, including flashings and associated items.
• Install precast panels.
• Read and work from construction drawings.
• Carry out plant and equipment checks.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager regarding work, progress and site safety.
• Maintain high standards of quality and complete work within agreed timescales.
• Follow all Health & Safety requirements and site procedures.
• Keep work areas clean, safe and tidy.
• Safely operate site plant and access equipment with relevant training provided.
• Assist with other duties as required.

Key Duties

• Erect steel-framed buildings
