Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd in Crediton, Devon, is seeking an experienced Steel Erector to join a well-established team delivering agricultural and industrial projects across the South West. You will erect steel-framed buildings and install cladding systems, reading construction drawings and ensuring high-quality workmanship on site.

This full-time, permanent role offers a competitive salary dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in steel erection and/or cladding.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.
• Strong focus on Health & Safety and quality workmanship.
• Self-motivated, reliable and a team player.
• Full driving licence and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Erect steel-framed buildings.
• Install composite, single-skin and built-up cladding systems.
• Read and work from construction drawings.
• Carry out plant and equipment checks.
• Liaise with the Contracts Manager regarding progress and site safety.
• Maintain high standards and complete work on time.
• Follow site procedures and keep areas clean.
