Job summary

Holt Engineering in Christchurch is seeking an experienced Steel Erector to join the installation team. You will erect structural steelwork on-site across the UK and overseas, reading drawings and ensuring safety standards are met.

The role offers a stable, full‑time position with a varied project portfolio and opportunities for international site work. A valid UK driving licence, CSCS, and CPCS Slinger/Signaller are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Steel Erector.
• Valid UK driving licence.
• Up-to-date CSCS card.
• CPCS Slinger/Signaller qualification.
• Strong understanding of site safety procedures and structural steelwork.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home in the UK and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Erect structural steelwork on-site in line with engineering drawings and site plans.
• Carry out safe lifting and installation of steel components.
• Work closely with site teams, supervisors, and crane operators.
• Ensure all work is completed to specification and within safety standards.
• Carry out inspections and adjustments during installation.
