Job summary

Severfield is hiring a Steel Erector to join our Commercial & Industrial Construction Division. The role is site-based and will travel around projects in the UK or overseas. You will erect steel following RAMS directions and work with a team to meet safety and quality standards.

Applicants should have prior Steel Erector experience, be comfortable working at heights, and demonstrate strong health and safety awareness. Severfield offers competitive salaries and a range of employee benefits.

Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education.

The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors. Each of our sites has its own strong reputation in the market and between them cover a wider geographical area, including Europe. They continue to set the bar high in their highly complex market!

Vacancy Details

As a Steel Erector, your job will be to erect Steel following the RAMS method statement as directed by Foreman. You will follow risk assessments, lift plans and permits, and company procedures, both work and safety, while also following good practice and statutory legislation

We are looking for people with previous experience as Steel Erectors and experience of working at heights. Candidates should have excellent health and safety awareness and work as a team with suitable behaviour, squad morale and productivity as a priority.
