Job summary

Equals Group PLC is seeking an Assistant Statutory Accountant to join our London-based finance team. You will support statutory reporting, group consolidation and tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting.

Qualified or near-qualified accountants will have strong IFRS knowledge, Excel skills, and experience with NetSuite. Hybrid working across the UK is offered with a clear path to ownership of entities and workstreams.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with final exams expected within 12 months.
• Experience in statutory reporting, financial accounting or external audit.
• Solid IFRS knowledge and ability to document reasoning.
• Exposure to group consolidation and multi-entity reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for defined group entities using NetSuite.
• Prepare audit deliverables and coordinate with external auditors.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany and tax compliance processes.
• Maintain entity records and ensure timely closing of periods and annual reports.
• Drive process improvements and documentation for reporting and controls.
