Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a qualified accountant to oversee the preparation of group and entity statutory financial statements and external reporting. You will produce accurate reports and schedules, coordinate information with auditors, ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and prepare technical papers.

• Professional background in statutory financial statement preparation and external reporting.
• Experience with accounting standards and external reporting requirements.
• Experience collaborating with external auditors.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of group and entity-level statutory financial statements.
• Produce accurate reporting and supporting schedules in line with agreed deadlines.
• Coordinate information and respond to external auditor queries.
• Ensure reporting complies with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical accounting papers and contribute to resolving complex accounting matters.
• Maintain clear documentation, reconciliations and audit trails.
• Work with Finance teams across the Group to gather, review and challenge reporting information.
• Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, controls and efficiency.
• Support wider Finance projects and reporting requirements.
