Job summary

South Western Railway is looking for Rail Operators to ensure trains are dispatched safely and stations are maintained to high standards. You will provide up-to-date travel information and assist customers in reaching their destinations on time and safely.

You will be the face of SWR, handling tasks from assisting with luggage and boarding ramps to maintaining cleanliness and safety. This safety-critical role requires attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely dispatch trains from the platform and ensure customers are clear of the train.
• Provide passenger assistance, including helping with luggage and boarding ramps.
• Keep customers updated about journeys through announcements and interaction.
• Be flexible and take on a variety of tasks around the station to meet quality and safety standards.
