Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Operative to support installation, maintenance and repair tasks across static sites. The role requires independent and team-based work to deliver planned and remedial works on time while following health and safety regulations.

The ideal candidate has BS 7671 (18th Edition) electrical knowledge and hands-on experience with electrical systems, plant and controls. Overtime and site-based duties are expected.

Qualifications

• Electrical maintenance and repair tasks across sites.
• Ability to read and follow technical drawings and procedures.
• Self-motivated, well-organised, and safety-conscious.
• Overtime availability and willingness to work out of hours.

Responsibilities

• Complete electrical installations and plumbing installations repairs and assist tradespeople with wiring, calibration, and alignment tasks.
• Must be able to undertake fabric tasks as directed by site.
• Complete all reactive and PPM tasks as instructed.
• Adhering to site H&S procedures and policies.
• Supervising and escorting of both Mitie and the customers subcontractors.
• Must be willing to carry out overtime Out of hours.
• Must be IT literate.
• Carry out testing, fault diagnosis, repairs, and updates to maintenance work orders
• Use appropriate test equipment and tools, understanding their limitations
• Follow lockout/tagout procedures—no live working permitted
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and attend toolbox talks
