Job summary

Randstad Staffing is seeking a Static Maintenance Plumber in Morpeth to maintain, repair and install plumbing systems on a key site. You will handle site-based multi-skilled maintenance with day-shift hours, offering a clear path for professional training and progression.

Ideal candidates will possess NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing and practical experience in commercial/industrial maintenance, with strong diagnostic capabilities and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• Essential: NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing (or equivalent).
• Proven experience in a commercial/industrial building maintenance role.
• Strong diagnostic skills across plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an on-site team.

Responsibilities

• Plumbing maintenance, repair and installation of site networks (pipes, fixtures, fittings, drainage).
• Emergency response to leaks, clogs and burst pipes.
• Equipment maintenance on water heaters, boilers and mechanical equipment.
• Building fabric upkeep including walls, floors and ceilings.
• System inspections and preventative maintenance checks across facilities.

Static Maintenance Plumber

Location: Morpeth

Salary: £37,000 per annum

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM (37.5 hours/week)

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Static Maintenance Plumber to join a supportive team based at a key site in Morpeth. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing plumbing systems across the site, as well as providing general multi-skilled mechanical and building fabric maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Plumbing Maintenance & Repair: Install, inspect, and maintain plumbing networks, including pipes, fixtures, fittings, and drainage systems.

• Emergency Response: Efficiently diagnose and resolve urgent issues such as leaks, clogs, and burst pipes.

• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine servicing on water heaters, boilers, and associated mechanical equipment.

• Building Fabric Upkeep: Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance to building surfaces, including walls, floors, and ceilings.

• System Inspections: Conduct regular preventative checks across the facilities to identify and resolve potential issues early.

Salary & Benefits

• Base Salary: £37,000 per annum

• Work-Life Balance: Standard daytime hours (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday)

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing (or equivalent relevant qualification).

• Proven experience in a commercial or industrial building maintenance role.

• Strong diagnostic skills across plumbing, mechanical systems, and building fabric repair.

• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of an on-site team.

Desirable:

• City & Guilds in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC certifications, or multi-skilled mechanical qualifications.

• Prior experience handling emergency call-outs and preventative maintenance schedules.
