Job summary

Cambridge Maintenance Services in Newcastle is seeking a Static Mechanical Engineer for Eldon Square. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance on building services, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient operation.

The role involves updating the CAFM system and coordinating with internal teams to meet client needs. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will work onsite, participate in a callout rota after probation, and may undertake overtime to satisfy client requirements.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in at least one maintenance/engineering discipline.
• City & Guilds qualification or equivalent required.

Static Mechanical Engineer – Eldon Square, Newcastle

About the role

Reporting into the Contracts Manager, working in partnership with all departments to deliver planned preventative maintenance. Reacting to all repair work on the centres mechanical/electrical/fabric plant equipment and general property maintenance.

Static Multi skilled Building Services Engineer with mechanically qualified to a recognised level (City & Guilds).

You would be required to undertake scheduled Planned Maintenance and reactive requirements in Eldon Square.

Mobile phone, tablet and uniform would be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance located in Eldon Square by the required attendance dates. You will also be required to update the Legal compliance documentation via a tablet (provided) to a high standard. You will be required to provide job/quote updates to satisfy the internal CAFM system which provides live updates to our client.
• You would also be required to be part of a callout rota at the end of a successful probation period. You would also be required where necessary to work a reasonable amount of overtime to satisfy our client.

Necessary Skills

• Experience performing works with Mechanical pipework services, valves, motors, pumps, bearings, HVAC Plant & equipment.
• Recognised qualification in at least one Maintenance/ Engineering discipline.
• To carry out repairs/replacement of plant, fixtures and fittings as required
• To carry out servicing and repairs of onsite plant, fixtures, and fittings
• To organise various housekeeping tasks and arrangements
