Are you an experienced Air Conditioning Engineer looking to get away from a mobile role and work permanently at one site?
We're recruiting for a site-based Air Conditioning Engineer to join a leading global Facilities Management provider, working at a large distribution facility in Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an AC Engineer who wants the stability of a permanent site while still having plenty of variety in their working day.
Your primary trade will be Air Conditioning / HVAC, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, servicing and fault finding. However, this is a Facilities Management environment, so we're looking for someone who is also happy to turn their hand to general fabric maintenance and routine building PPMs when required.
In return, you'll receive a £43,000 basic salary, overtime paid at 1.5x, 25 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and access to extensive training and career progression opportunities within a global FM business.

As the site's Air Conditioning Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining a range of air conditioning and HVAC systems, completing planned preventative maintenance and responding to reactive faults and breakdowns.
You'll work as part of the wider site engineering team, helping to keep the distribution facility operating safely and efficiently.
Typical AC and HVAC duties will include:
Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on air conditioning systems
Reactive AC maintenance and breakdowns
Air conditioning fault finding and diagnostics
Servicing and maintenance
Split and multi-split systems
VRV / VRF systems
AHUs and associated HVAC equipment
Identifying and completing remedial works
Refrigerant checks
Ensuring compliance with F-Gas regulations
Completing job sheets and maintenance records
Updating CAFM systems
Liaising with site teams and customers
While Air Conditioning will be your primary trade, we're looking for an engineer with a genuinely multi-skilled Facilities Management approach.
There will be times when AC work is quieter, and you'll be expected to support the wider engineering team with general building maintenance and routine PPM tasks.
This could include:
Basic fabric repairs
Doors, handles, hinges and fixtures
Minor carpentry
Basic plumbing tasks
Minor leaks and plumbing repairs
General building maintenance
Visual inspections
Routine compliance PPMs
General site maintenance tasks
You don't need to be a qualified plumber, carpenter or fabric engineer.
What we're looking for is an AC Engineer who is willing to turn their hand to other straightforward maintenance tasks and work as part of the wider FM team.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
F-Gas Category 1
Recognised Air Conditioning / Refrigeration qualification
Commercial Air Conditioning maintenance experience
Experience maintaining split and multi-split systems
Experience with VRV / VRF systems
Strong AC fault-finding and diagnostic skills
Previous PPM and reactive maintenance experience
Experience within Facilities Management or commercial building maintenance
Willingness to undertake general fabric and building maintenance
Good communication and customer-facing skills
