Job summary

Academy Music Group (AMG) in Oxford is seeking an Assistant Technical Manager to reinforce our stage department, supervise a diverse team, and ensure smooth delivery of live performances—from high-profile shows to late-night club events.

You will work with the technical manager on safety, equipment upkeep, and client-facing service, while coordinating back-of-house staff and overseeing show operations in a fast-paced venue.

Qualifications

• Experience in stage, touring or production management.
• Expertise in event production and technical riders.
• Competence in sound, lighting AV and engineers.
• Extensive knowledge of health and safety regulations and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

• Oversee stage and technical management for all shows and events.
• Support recruitment and rota management of back-of-house staff and crew.
• Act as point of contact for advancing and technical fulfilment on incoming productions.
• Lead on day-to-day compliance with Company guidelines and safety practices.
• Assist the technical manager with budgeting within the department.
