Job summary

Gwyn Hall is seeking a proactive Technical Manager to oversee the technical operation, maintenance and delivery of all live events and cinema activities at the venue. You will ensure safety, professionalism and excellence across the programme, including live music, drama, cinema and broadcasts.

Candidates should have strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams and work flexibly across evenings and weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in technical theatre operations and live events
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in venue environments

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for operation, maintenance and management of all technical equipment and systems at Gwyn Hall
• Provide hands-on, multi-skilled technical support across theatre and cinema ensuring high professional standards
• Lead and oversee technical functions including sound, stage operations, lighting and digital cinema
• Coordinate production get-ins, rehearsals, performances and get-outs ensuring safety and efficiency
• Act as principal technical contact for touring companies and visiting productions
• Liaise with professional companies and venue users to meet technical requirements
