Job summary

Marks & Spencer Plc is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to join the Warehouse Automation team within FH&B Supply Chain & Logistics. You’ll help shape integrations between WMS and automation partners like Beumer, Dematic and Geek+ while delivering robust, observable software in live warehouse environments.

You will lead design, code reviews and mentor engineers, aligning with architectural standards and DevSecOps practices.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in full-stack development across frontend and backend.
• Experience building scalable, maintainable and secure software systems.
• Hands-on experience with DevSecOps practices in enterprise-scale apps.
• Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and integrating AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills for engineering teams.
• Knowledge of WMS/WCS integrations and warehouse domain is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and debug software solutions with engineering excellence.
• Provide technical leadership on complex projects aligning with architecture standards.
• Lead design and implementation of scalable software and third-party integrations.
• Conduct code reviews for maintainability, testing coverage and performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to deliver technical solutions.
• Mentor and grow engineers across levels.
• Drive monitoring, alerting and incident learnings for reliability.
