Job summary

Wireless Logic Ltd based in the UK is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the technical direction of the Interstellar Squad. The role focuses on modernizing a mature billing platform into TypeScript-based domain services while ensuring operational reliability and engineering standards.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in leading backend development teams, strong expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, and a background in distributed systems. This role offers a hybrid working model with travel to Poland offices required quarterly.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading the technical direction of a squad or product area.
Deep backend expertise in modern, strongly-typed stacks, ideally Node.js/NestJS/TypeScript.
Experience modernizing or decomposing a mature monolithic system into smaller services.

Responsibilities

Set and communicate a clear technical vision for the squad's services.
Lead the incremental decomposition of a mature platform into TypeScript/Node services.
Define and uphold engineering standards for code quality and operational readiness.
