Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the UK Centre of Excellence to contribute hands-on development for engineering applications supporting critical infrastructure.

You will work independently and with teams across the business, driving design discussions and delivering high‑quality software for engineering workflows. Background checks including UK SC may be required during hiring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mechanical engineering; master's preferred.
• Experience with physics-based design/engineering analysis tools for industrial or rotating components.

Responsibilities

• Translate requirements into tool development plans with clear success metrics.
• Upgrade and enhance engineering analysis apps for rotating components.
• Manage project scope, schedules, risks, and cross-functional alignment.
• Lead development, testing, release, deployment, and user training.
• Coordinate with global teams to align requirements and deployment plans.
