Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Lead Hardware Engineer to design and support embedded hardware platforms for energy systems, spanning NPI to sustaining engineering. You will lead a UK-based hardware support team across multiple product ranges, collaborating with firmware, systems, safety, and verification groups.

This role combines deep technical problem solving with local leadership in a globally distributed organization.

Qualifications

• : Requires Electronics degree or HNC/HND with proven industry involvement.
• : Strong embedded hardware experience in industrial/energy contexts is essential.
• : Experience across R&D, NPI, and manufacturing with design-for-manufacture considerations.

Responsibilities

• Design and troubleshoot analog, digital, and mixed-signal electronics at board/system level (including Ethernet).
• Redesign up to Core CPU level with High-Speed Memory constraints using FPGA/CPLD architectures.
• Provide design support across development, manufacturing, and deployed systems.
