Job summary

Fireworks AI is seeking a Member of Technical Staff for the EMEA field team. You will contribute to one of the world's largest inference platforms, spanning inference, serving, fine-tuning tooling, and regional product work.

You are a strong software engineer first, with a focus on building product rather than customer-facing duties, though customer work may come up. There is no fixed seniority; 3–10 years of experience can fit.

Qualifications

• Ability to break down novel problems and reason to a solution without a reference implementation.
• Shipping production backend systems you owned.
• Proficiency in Python and at least one systems language.
• Experience with coding agents and AI tooling.
• Genuine interest in inference infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship product capabilities end to end from ambiguous need to production.
• Build on Inference: routing, model controls, observability, and deployment needs.
• Ship tooling around fine-tuning and post-training of LLMs.
• Turn EMEA-specific requirements into product with core platform.
• Set engineering quality bar for the regional team; code is the reference.
• Use coding agents and AI tooling as a core part of building.
• Optional customer work: join deployments or customer conversations when useful.
