Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to drive architectural evolution of the platform as it scales to meet demand from engineering companies. This hands‑on leadership role balances immediate needs with long‑term goals, guiding multiple teams toward a more distributed, agentic AI infrastructure.

You’ll design and implement architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with senior leadership to shape the platform while delivering reliable, scalable backend services and robust CI/CD

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including staff‑level work.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems architecture and building large‑scale backend systems.
• Strong API and service interface design for distributed services.
• Security‑minded development with authentication/authorization practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and architecture across the platform’s evolution from monolithic to distributed systems.
• Write production‑quality Python code for core platform components and services.
• Own CI/CD pipelines, testing strategies, and deployment practices for reliability.
• Drive observability, monitoring, and SRE practices across teams.
• Mentor engineers and set engineering standards and patterns.
• Collaborate with product/business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
