Qualifications

• Proven track record solving hard, ambiguous technical problems end-to-end.
• Deep expertise in backend services and/or data-intensive systems such as event pipelines, data warehouses/lakehouses, or SDK development.
• Ability to weigh technical tradeoffs against business impact and communicate reasoning clearly.

Responsibilities

• Help set the technical direction for unlocking data for the rest of the company, including self-service tools, dashboards, and AI-powered assistants.
• Solve complex, multi-layered problems spanning the platform with considered tradeoffs and ROI.
• Anticipate scaling needs as teams rely more on data and tools across the company.
• Proactively identify and drive improvements to tooling, processes, and quality practices.
• Influence decision-making with ROI-focused perspectives on capabilities that matter to teams we serve.
• Develop and share expertise across platform areas and serve as a resource for other engineers.
• Partner with data-using teams to shape what gets built next and how it's exposed.
