Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a senior software engineer in the United Kingdom to drive backend and data-intensive initiatives across multiple platforms. You will shape the data access approach, build scalable event pipelines, and mentor engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

You should have 11+ years of software development experience and a strong track record delivering end-to-end solutions in complex environments.

Qualifications

Proven track record solving hard, ambiguous technical problems end-to-end.
Deep expertise in backend services and/or data-intensive systems across multiple areas.
Ability to weigh technical tradeoffs against business impact and communicate reasoning clearly.
Willingness to act as a change agent to improve team processes and outcomes.
Experience mentoring others and contributing to technical growth.

Responsibilities

Set technical direction for data access, self-service tools, and analytics platforms.
Tackle multi-area problems spanning multiple systems with strategic judgment.
