Job summary

DAT is seeking a Staff Engineer to design, build, and maintain developer-facing APIs, SDKs, and tooling. You will own production-grade API logging, monitoring, and documentation, while guiding cross-team efforts across Integrations, Product, Support and Engineering.

You will work with TypeScript/Node.js, REST/OpenAPI, and cloud-native patterns to ship practical solutions quickly, balancing ambiguity with customer value and ensuring integration health for partners and brokers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in software development
• Deep backend and full-stack experience with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience designing and operating APIs consumed by external developers
• Experience with REST API design, OpenAPI, versioning, authentication/authorization

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain SDKs and developer tooling
• Design, build, and maintain API logging and monitoring for production
• Lead multi-team technical initiatives across Integrations, Product, Support and Engineering
• Mentor engineers and drive customer-focused developer experience
