Job summary

Aptura in London is seeking a Staff Engineer to build and scale the evaluation data platform—annotation tooling, workflows, and infrastructure that power our AI datasets. You’ll design end‑to‑end data pipelines, task routing, and QA, while integrating LLM‑assisted tooling into the product.

You will shape onboarding, review flows, and data workflows, collaborating with founders to turn bespoke processes into reliable software.

Qualifications

• Experience building internal tools or workflow software.
• Familiarity with modern stacks: React, Next.js, TypeScript, Node.js, FastAPI.
• Experience with AI tooling, LLMs, or evaluation workflows.
• Interest in finance, healthcare or legal domains.
• Background as an early or founding engineer is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and own the core data annotation and workflow platform end to end.
• Design systems for expert onboarding, routing, review workflows, and QA at scale.
• Develop AI‑integrated pipelines across the platform, including LLM‑assisted annotation.
• Collaborate with founders to turn manual processes into reliable, scalable software.
• Set engineering standards and shape the product direction.
• Work across product, infrastructure, data systems and AI tooling.
