Job Description:

This role involves leading the development of GM Motorsports aero-thermal applications, designing scalable cloud-based systems, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative motorsports IT solutions. The position requires technical leadership, hands-on development, and expertise in cloud systems, CFD, and software architecture.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of developers in implementing and maintaining aero-thermal applications.
  2. Design solution architectures and guide the team on implementation strategies.
  3. Develop modern, modular application frameworks that integrate loosely connected systems.
  4. Identify and fill value gaps within the aerodynamics team with innovative solutions.
  5. Resolve technical blockers and ensure smooth project delivery.
  6. Manage scrum story delivery and contribute to build frameworks, testing, and deployment.
  7. Collaborate with team members and support overall project goals.
  8. Deliver reliable, self-managed solutions within deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
  • Expertise in CFD systems, microservices, data streaming platforms, and full-stack application development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Kubernetes, Docker), and CI/CD practices.
  • At least 5 years in microservices development and 2 years in web services design.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree in a technical discipline.
  • Knowledge of aerodynamics, AI/ML, VR frameworks, data streaming tech, cross-platform development, UI/UX design, and system architecture.
