Lovable is seeking an exceptional Design Engineer who blends frontend fundamentals with craft to execute world-class web content. You’ll partner with design and marketing to empower creators and builders.

Expect to ship polished landing pages, advanced interactions, and scalable components while pushing the boundaries with modern frontend tech like React/TypeScript and WebGL.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience shipping websites and landing pages you love.
• Portfolio demonstrating landing pages and advanced web interactions.
• Ability to trade off speed and polish and know when to ship or refine.
• Strong understanding of frontend systems: React architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, scalable UI patterns.
• Experience turning explorations into production-ready experiences.
• Strong design sense with attention to detail, accessibility and usability.
• Ideally you push web boundaries with technologies like WebGL.

TL;DR - We're seeking an exceptional Design Engineer who combines strong frontend engineering fundamentals with a sharp eye for craft to execute on our website. You’ll work closely with design and marketing to build world-class web content helping empower the next generation of creators and builders.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of years experience, shipping websites and landing pages users genuinely love
• Portfolio demonstrating landing pages and advanced web interactions (if you don’t have a portfolio of landing pages - check out our other roles)
• Ability to make smart trade-offs between speed and polish, knowing when to ship and when to refine
• Strong fundamental understanding of modern frontend systems - React architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, and scalable UI patterns
• Experience translating scrappy explorations into production-ready experiences
• Strong design sense with an eye for detail, accessibility, and usability
• Ideally - you push the boundaries of the web with technologies like WebGL

What you’ll do

• Build landing pages that delight, also designing interactions or pairing closely with designers
• Implement web interactions in React/TypeScript with obsessive attention to performance, responsiveness, and cross-browser consistency
• Drive front-end execution - pioneering new interaction patterns, micro-animations, and delightful details that elevate the entire experienceCollaborate with marketing, helping share Lovable with the world
• Explore and iterate on visual designs with designers, translating explorations into scalable, web-native implementations
• Build and maintain reusable components that enhance consistency while enabling creativity across both product and marketing
• Reinvent how teams build for the web
