Job summary

Lovable is seeking exceptional experienced Design Engineers who combine strong frontend fundamentals with a sharp eye for craft and interaction design. You’ll work closely with design and engineering to build world-class interfaces for creators and builders.

Own and scale the user-facing experience of Lovable products, turning powerful capabilities into intuitive, magical interfaces. Design and build world-class product experiences with attention to detail and accessibility.

• Experience with modern frontend systems (React architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, scalable UI patterns).
• Ability to translate explorations into production-ready experiences with strong craft and interaction sense.
• Strong product sense with attention to detail and usability.

Responsibilities

• Design and build world-class user interfaces for Lovable products.
• Drive front-end execution with new interaction patterns and micro-animations.
• Implement features in React/TypeScript with meticulous attention to detail.
• Collaborate with backend, ML, design, and product teams to deliver complex features.
• Iterate on visual designs with designers and translate explorations into scalable implementations.
• Build and maintain reusable components to ensure consistency while enabling creativity.

What We’re Looking For

• 10+ years of experience, shipping products users genuinely love
• Portfolio demonstrating sophisticated interactions and thoughtful user affordances required (if you don’t have a portfolio – please check out our other roles!)
• Ability to make smart trade‑offs between speed and polish, knowing when to ship and when to refine
• Strong fundamental understanding of modern frontend systems – React architecture, state management, performance, accessibility, and scalable UI patterns. If your strengths lean more visual than technical, check out our Product Designer roles instead.
• Experience translating scrappy explorations into production‑ready experiences
• Strong product sense with an eye for detail, accessibility, and usability
