Fanatics Markets in the United Kingdom is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Platform team to define technical direction and build a highly available, low-latency exchange. You will lead the design of cloud-native infrastructure, drive CI/CD tooling and mentor engineers across teams.

You'll work on load-testing environments, AI-augmented development standards, and incident response, balancing performance, security and cost while shipping production code and guiding architectural choices.

Qualifikationen

• Significant experience in software, backend or platform engineering.
• Deep software development capability to design, build, test and deploy services.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Proficiency with AWS and Terraform; architecture decisions across environments.
• Strong Java and Python; Go is a plus.
• Understanding distributed systems and trade-offs between latency, availability and scalability.
• Experience shaping CI/CD and observability using Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• Affirmative experience using AI tools to ship production code and improve workflows.
• Ability to mentor engineers and influence technical direction.

• Lead design and development of software tools, services and automation.

• Mentor engineers, lead technical design discussions and raise standards.
• Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
