Job summary

Wayve seeks a Staff Software Engineer for the Data Enrichment Platform to own the technical vision for systems processing petabytes of driving data and supporting dozens of model engineers.

You will shape scalable, self-service capabilities across AI Platform, infra, compute, storage and data teams while mentoring engineers and delivering measurable improvements in model quality and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong production Python backend experience with tested, observable services.
• Deep experience designing and operating large-scale distributed data/compute workloads.
• Proven track record productising internal platforms for broad adoption and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Define technical vision and architecture for Wayve’s Data Enrichment Platform.
• Lead backend services, APIs, model-execution workflows and dataset catalogues.
• Build scalable systems for large-scale inference, evaluation, monitoring and retraining.
• Collaborate with AI Platform, infra, compute, storage and data teams on data locality and cost.
• Mentor engineers and promote reusable, self-service platform capabilities.
