Job summary

Wayve is building the leading AI platform for autonomous driving, delivering an end-to-end AI approach that learns from real-world data. The Data Enrichment Platform team develops scalable backend services and data-processing workflows to support model evaluation, retraining and monitoring at petabyte scale.

You’ll work on scalable inference, reproducible dataset workflows, and robust operational tooling to ensure reliability, cost control and observability across GPU-backed workloads.

Qualifications

• Strong production software-engineering experience in Python, with maintainable, tested backends.
• Experience building or operating distributed data-heavy systems.
• Proven ability to ship reliable software from design to production operation.
• Solid system-design fundamentals with ability to trade off in a complex platform.
• Comfort with diagnosing unfamiliar systems and reliability issues.
• Clear communication and collaboration across teams; ownership of production components.
• Nice-to-have: Flyte, Airflow, Dagster, Argo, Spark, Databricks, Ray, Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and operate backend services, APIs and data-processing workflows for the Data Enrichment Platform.
• Develop model-execution workflows, versioned outputs, annotation capabilities and dataset-catalogue features.
• Improve scalability and reliability of systems for large-scale inference, automated evaluation and model monitoring.
• Investigate and resolve reliability, performance and cost issues across petabyte-scale data and GPU workloads.
• Contribute to designs on data locality, scheduling, capacity, backpressure and observability.
• Collaborate with model engineering, AI Platform, infrastructure, compute and data teams to deliver reusable capabilities.
• Write maintainable, tested and observable software and improve documentation and tooling.
