Job summary

Pfizer Inc. is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer in the United Kingdom to own scalable, secure infrastructure for AI-driven workflows on multi-cloud hosting platforms. You will standardize patterns, automate deployments, and drive GitOps practices to keep platforms reliable and compliant.

You will lead automation and CI/CD efforts, contribute to platform architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to accelerate innovation while ensuring governance in regulated environments.

Qualifications

Requires deep platform engineering experience in cloud-native infrastructure.
Must have Kubernetes, CI/CD, and GitOps expertise for multi-cloud hosting.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

Build reusable modules and templates for environment provisioning in AWS and Azure.
Operate CI/CD pipelines with auditable delivery.
Automate onboarding and environment setup for application teams.
Deliver runbooks and self-healing automation for critical services.
Contribute to platform architecture for shared hosting and delivery pipelines across clouds.
Design multi-cloud infrastructure patterns using IaC and GitOps.
Drive Kubernetes orchestration, autoscaling, and workload isolation for services.
Refine standards for observability, security, and compliance in regulated environments.
Run multi-environment Kubernetes clusters with hardened ingress and access controls.
Maintain platform services for logging, metrics, alerts, and TLS.
Participate in post-incident reviews to improve reliability and cost efficiency.
Mentor teams and promote platform adoption.
