Job summary

Airwallex in London is seeking a Staff Solutions Engineer to lead the technical pre‑sales for complex enterprise payments engagements, translating business requirements into robust solution designs and plans.

You will partner with implementation, account management, sales, and product teams to architect scalable APIs and third‑party connectors, guide customers, troubleshoot integration challenges, and help drive successful go‑lives across the EMEA region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8+ years in technical pre-sales for complex deployments.
• 8+ years of client-facing delivery in SaaS/fintech.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted technical advisor on high-value engagements across enterprise partners.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable integration architectures and proof points.
• Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to define integration blueprints.
• Troubleshoot integration hurdles and guide customers through complex configurations.
• Create internal docs, playbooks, and lightweight tools to support scale.
