Job summary

Lincolnshire Police is seeking a highly motivated Executive Support Officer to provide strategic research, coordination and executive support to the Chief Officer Team. Working at the heart of the organisation, you will help ensure Chief Officers can operate effectively, supporting priorities while upholding our values of Courage, Respect & Empathy and Public Service.

The role involves preparing briefings, managing enquiries, horizon scanning and representing the organisation at meetings.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Executive Support Officer to provide strategic research, coordination and executive support to the Chief Officer Team, including Assistant Chief Constables and Directors.

Working at the heart of the organisation, you will help ensure Chief Officers can operate effectively and efficiently, supporting local, regional and national priorities while delivering a high-quality service aligned with our values of Courage, Respect & Empathy and Public Service.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Conducting research, gathering information and producing concise briefings and summaries for senior leaders.
  • Supporting the management and coordination of strategic portfolios, transformation programmes and organisational objectives.
  • Monitoring progress against Force Strategy priorities, identifying risks, opportunities and examples of good practice.
  • Coordinating projects and initiatives on behalf of Chief Officers.
  • Preparing draft speeches, presentations, briefings, correspondence and articles for a variety of audiences.
  • Representing the organisation at meetings, forums and partnership events where appropriate.
  • Managing enquiries on behalf of Chief Officers and helping maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Undertaking horizon scanning to identify emerging issues, opportunities and developments relevant to policing.
  • Providing support during major incidents, critical events and declared emergencies when required.
