Job summary

University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join Specialist Medicine teams across the Leicester Royal Infirmary, Leicester General Hospital and Preston Lodge. An active UK NMC PIN and UK healthcare experience are essential.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based nursing care, contribute to ward management, mentor learners, and work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care while upholding the trust's values.

Qualifications

• Active UK NMC PIN is required.
• Experience of care within a UK healthcare setting or via UK university placements.
• Experience as a Registered Nurse in Specialist Medicine teams.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidence-based nursing care for a group of patients.
• Assist in and contribute to the management and organisation of a ward/clinical area.
• Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
• Actively participate in the education, development and supervision of other staff members.
• Work collaboratively and co-operatively with others to meet the needs of patients and their families.
• Act as a clinical and professional role model, mentoring, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
