Job summary

University Hospitals Of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking a nursing professional to assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence-based care for a defined group of patients within a ward setting.

You will assist in managing and organising the ward, model professional practice, and contribute to the education, supervision and development of staff and learners on placement.

Deliver high-quality care, uphold NMC standards, maintain confidentiality and work with the MDT to meet patient and family needs.

Qualifications

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in line with evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to the management and organisation of a ward/clinical area.
• Model professional practice, mentor and support students on placement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to a group of patients.
• Coordinate and prioritise the nursing team's day-to-day work.
• Maintain high standards of quality nursing care and participate in staff education and supervision.
• Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Data Protection Act and NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
• Collaborate with the MDT to meet patient and family needs.
