Staff Nurse – Pre-Assessment

Plymouth Hospital | Pre-Assessment | Permanent contract | Part time

Up to £33,500 per annum (pro rata), depending on skills and experience

30 hours per week

As a Staff Nurse in our hospital, you’ll be attentive, focused, detail-oriented, and empathetic. You must be registered with the appropriate governing body (NMC or equivalent) and possess the relevant qualifications and experience. Post-registration experience and a passion for exceptional patient care are essential.

Responsibilities of a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse:

1. Be part of a close-knit team delivering matron-led care in a consultant-led service.
2. Work as the first point of contact to assess patients prior to surgery, collaborating with leading professionals.
3. Demonstrate broad knowledge and assessment skills to ensure comprehensive patient care.
4. Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
5. Offer comfort and reassurance, maintaining the highest standards of care.
6. Build experience with new practices, equipment, and facilities.
7. Collaborate with practitioners in other areas to ensure continuity of patient care.
